MEET THE CWiE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
SHAUNA HOLMES
President
Shauna has been a member of Calgary Women in Energy for over 9 years. She was the Director of Membership for 5 years, was the Director of Technical Education for two years, and now holds the role of President. Shauna strives to bring inspiring and educational speakers to the group. Currently, Shauna is the Business Development and Marketing Lead for Artic Therm which provides an efficient Flameless Heat and Heat Technology for multiple applications using portable equipment to remote locations for the extreme climate challenges. Artic Therm is part of the Enterprise Group of companies which provides specialized equipment in the build out of infrastructure for the energy, utility, pipeline, construction, mining transportation, and agriculture industry.
GRACE CORRY
Vice President
Grace has shifted into the Vice President role after two successful years as the Co-Director of Membership. She has been an active member since 2016 and is dedicated to the growth of the organization. A mother of two and a wife who successfully holds a fast paced and diversified career in Oil & Gas. Grace has been serving the Energy Industry for over 14 years now, with a focus on sales and marketing. Grace’s passion is building long standing client relationships.
Her current position at Phoenix Industrial Group of Companies, as Director of Business Development and Marketing.
Grace is driven in supporting her community, by raising funds and awareness for Servants Anonymous and One Body Village, both focused on the rehabilitation for survivors being rescued from Human Trafficking.
LESLIE CASSIDY
Director of Technical Education
Leslie has been an active member of Calgary Women in Energy since 2020 and currently serves as the Director of Technical Education. She focuses on expanding the educational learnings for CWiE members through subject matter experts and thought-provoking speakers across the expansive energy industry.
Leslie works in Business Development at Vista Projects, an engineering and procurement consulting firm serving the energy industry and specializing in the digital transformation of assets. Her company excels as a system integrator by working within digital twin environments and promoting data-centric project execution, with a focus on enhancing value from initial project conception through to operations and maintenance.
Leslie obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Alberta and spent the early years of her career working in the environmental industry in a variety of roles. Her diverse education and professional background contribute to her passion for learning and providing meaningful education on broad topics within the industry. Leslie possesses a keen interest in the collaborative efforts between existing and emerging companies and technologies, and strongly believes that through these means our industry will achieve our future targets for a sustainable and successful energy market in the years and decades to come.
BRITLYNN MRACEK
Co-Director of Membership
Britlynn has been a member of Calgary women in Energy since 2020 and joined the Board in 2022 as Co-Director of membership. When Britlynn joined this group she quickly met several like minded women who were friendly and welcoming which is why she wanted to take on this role. She is excited to meet several new faces that are interested in Calgary Women in Energy.
Britlynn has a Bachelor of Geology Degree from Mount Royal University and has been working in the energy industry for over 5 years. She has moved on from her role as a Geologist and is now working in Business Development. Britlynn is the Business Development Manager for Kinetic Industrial and Jalco industries which provide Facilities Construction and Pipe spooling, respectively, to Western Canada.
ALANA HOEKSTRA
Co-Director of Membership
Alana has been an active member of Calgary Women in Energy for over 11 years. As the Co-Director of Membership, Alana is among the first points of contact for many of CWiE’s new members. Her love for this position is evident, as she has held this role for two separate terms during her tenure with the organization. Alana joined CWiE with the desire and intent to be a part of an organization that empowered and supported women in the energy sector, providing an environment for growth, education, and community involvement. She found that with Calgary Women in Energy.
Alana has been working in the Energy industry and specifically within Business Development for over 15 years. As a genuine people person, she is driven to build strong, lasting working relationships with clients and colleagues. Currently, Alana holds the position of Director of Business Development with Equinox Engineering. An EPCM firm which has provided industry leading engineering services to the energy sector, both domestically and internationally, for over 25 years.
Alana loves all the amenities that living in Calgary provides. As one would expect holding a career in Business Development, she thrives on the social vibe of this city. She loves hockey, football, golfing, skiing, hiking, and exploring the amazing culinary options that are available in this city.
KORRINA WARNERS
Director of Communications
Korrina is an authentic leader with a high EQ and an advocate for gender equity. She has been a member of CWiE since 2022 and will be applying her strengths to support the organization.
Born and raised in Calgary, she is very familiar with the unique challenges and opportunities present in YYC. Korrina proudly supports the energy industry and the goal of net-zero by 2050. Among her core values are equity, diversity, and inclusion and she shows up daily as an ally.
By day, Korrina is the Manager of Marketing & Communications at Strike Group which is an infrastructure construction and maintenance company that provides services to the energy industry. At Strike, she is known for her ability to organize, create, and effectively get things done. She successfully led Strike Group to win a Marketing Award of Distinction from the Alberta Chambers of Commerce.
Korrina calls herself a “forever student” as she continues to be passionate about personal growth and learning. She holds an Executive MBA from the Haskayne School of Business, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan, a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan, and a variety of certificates. As part of her MBA, she completed a capstone research project that focused on GHG emission reduction, sustainability, and reviewed how construction companies can stay relevant in the energy transition.
LYDIA KOLLEROVA
Director of Community Involvement
Lydia is CWiE's Director of Community Involvement. As a CWiE member for more than 3 years, volunteering and networking are the aspects she enjoys the most.
Thanks to CWiE, Lydia had an opportunity to not only gain more confidence by enrolling in a mentorship program in 2021 but also made a few close friends.
Lydia is a Sales Operations Manager at AVEVA and supports the sales organization by creating an environment for sales success. AVEVA is a global leader in industrial software, driving digital transformation and sustainability.
In her spare time, she plays sports, hikes in the mountains with her 3 dogs, or binge-watches Netflix.
SUEANNE FU-JONCIC
Corporate Secretary
SueAnne has been a member of the CWiE organization and Board of Directors for over 9 years and manages to keep all deliverables, agenda items and meetings organized and accounted for throughout the group's development. SueAnne's background in project management, people analytics and management consulting experience in the Energy industry make her a great asset to the Board of Directors.
JANA HACKMAN
Director of Events
Jana Hackman has been a member of CWiE for the past 9 years. She previously held the positions of Vice President and Director of Community Events. Jana is passionate about the work that CWiE strives to bring to the community. In her current board position, she is focused on empowering and educating women, giving them a voice at the table. Jana was also key in developing and launching the mentorship program at CWiE.
Jana is an Enterprise Account Executive with Slalom. She has over 12 years of experience working with the energy sector, providing best-in-class consulting services which can help take their business to the next level. She is known for her ability to provide strategic solutions and work with the leadership team to achieve their business objectives.
In her free time, Jana enjoys spending time in the mountains and visiting with family and friends in the Okanagan.
SAMEERA KANJI
Treasurer
Sameera has been a CWiE member for 2 years and has joined the board as Treasurer. She has 22+ years in the Oil and Gas sector with experience in Operations, Engineering, Procurement and Construction. She holds an undergraduate Degree in Applied Chemistry and a Master’s in Business Administration.
