Our Technical Session, held every third Thursday of the month, will feature Chris Slubicki, President, Chief Executive Officer & Director Modern Resources Inc. Chris will be speaking to us about the environment and Canadian Energy Leadership.

Chris Slubicki is President, CEO & Director of Modern Resources Inc., a Calgary-based private oil and gas company. He has more than 35 years of experience in the business sector. He is a Professional Engineer in Alberta, and a member of APEGA. Chris is currently on the boards of Bonavista Energy Corporation and the Emily Brydon Youth Foundation. Chris served on the board of Alpine Canada Alpin for seven years, the last two as Chair. Chris coached young ski racers with the Fernie Alpine Ski Team for 14 years and served as President of the club for three years.

In recent years, Canada’s focus on being a leading environmental citizen has come into apparent conflict with our desire to responsibly provide clean, affordable energy for a growing world that demands a higher standard of living for all. In this talk, Mr. Slubicki will discuss the (at times) uncomfortable reality of energy and the environment in Canada and around the world. Canada’s unique combination of resources, policy and technology position our nation to be a leader in the future energy landscape; if we have the courage to stand up for our industry and best-in-class way of doing things.
