**Technical sessions are for CWiE members and prospective members only. Our Mix & Mingler starts at 4:30pm after the technical session and are open to all industry professionals

A Leadership Journey: New Grad to C-Suite

Jane Mactaggart will discuss her progression through the oil and gas industry in a successful career spanning 35+ years and counting. Jane will share insights gained from her extensive experience, strong emphasis on teamwork, commitment to community values, and dedication to maintaining high standards.

Ms. Mactaggart received her Bachelor of Sc. Physics (Honours) degree from Edinburgh University in Scotland and has 36 years of industry experience in both technical and management roles, spanning international, Canadian, large and small cap organizations.

She co-founded Iteration Energy in 2005 and served as VP Exploitation for five years. Ms. Mactaggart joined Tundra Oil & Gas as VP Reservoir/Exploitation in 2010 and was appointed President & CEO in 2018.

Tundra is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Winnipeg-based James Richardson & Sons Limited (JRSL), a private family company established in 1857. JRSL is a multidisciplined enterprise with operations in agriculture, food processing, financial services, property management, and energy. Tundra commenced operations in January 1980 and has since been on a growth trajectory by developing new assets and integrating strategic acquisitions. Tundra operates over 95% of its production, which is ~33,000 barrels of light crude oil per day. Currently, the firm employs ~300 staff located across four offices (Winnipeg and Virden, Manitoba; Estevan, Saskatchewan; Calgary, Alberta) and at various field sites.

Ms. Mactaggart currently leads a team focused on operating and maximizing returns in the SW Manitoba and SE Saskatchewan Williston Basin area. In addition to participation in the Manitoba Business Council, Ms. Mactaggart sits on the Board of Governors of the Explorers and Producers of Canada (EPAC), currently as Past Chair and serves as a Director of STARS (Shock Trauma Air Rescue Services).
