Sonya L. Kirby Vice-President, Canada Gas Projects Ms. Kirby is the Vice-President of Canada Gas Projects for TC Energy. Based in Calgary, Alberta, Ms. Kirby is responsible for the development and implementation of TC Energy’s natural gas pipeline projects in Canada. Ms. Kirby joined TC Energy in 2017 and has over 20 years of engineering and project experience from various companies including Sasol Canada, Talisman Energy, Nexen and BP. Most recently, Ms. Kirby was overseeing Sasol Canada’s unconventional gas assets in the Montney play in Northeast British Columbia. Ms. Kirby has her Professional Engineer designation from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), earned her BaSc Degree in Engineering from the University of Regina, Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from Project Management Institute (PMI) and more recently completed her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business in June 2014.
